Livia Benato

Exotics Veterinary Specialist

MScR CertZooMed Dip ECZM (Small Mammals) MRCVS Small Mammal & Exotics Veterinary Associate RCVS & EBVS Recognised Specialist in Small Mammal Medicine.

Livia qualified from the University of Parma, Italy in 2002. Initially Livia worked in an exotic animal referral clinic in Milan for two years before moving to the UK where she started work in Small Animal practices. Betwen 2008-2011, Livia completed a residency in Rabbit and Exotic Animal Medicine at the University of Edinburgh and she also gained the RCVS Certificate in Zoological Medicine. After stints at Chester Zoo as Veterinary Officer and as an Exotics Veterinary Clinician at the University of Glasgow, Livia was drawn to the warmer weather of Devon! Livia is a European Diplomate in Small Mammal Medicine and joined CityVets in 2015 to provide our Exotics Referral Service.
