Welcome to the Heavitree Branch
When your pet needs more than routine veterinary care, you want a team who stay calm, explains things clearly and supports you through every step. City Vets Heavitree gives you that reassurance from the moment you arrive.
This branch is our main Small Animal Hospital, so your pet has access to round-the-clock care and some of the most advanced facilities in Exeter.
Heavitree is home to experienced vets, dedicated nurses and specialists in areas such as ophthalmology, imaging, cardiology and exotic pet medicine.
Many owners come here because they feel looked after by people who understand how worrying illness or injury can be. Your questions are always taken seriously, and your pet is treated as an individual, not a case number.
The hospital sits in Rosary House, a fully refurbished and purpose-built setting equipped with modern diagnostic tools, surgical theatres, a CT scanner and spacious wards. With staff on site 24 hours a day, your pet is monitored and supported continuously when they need intensive care or recovery time.

Different Ways Our Heavitree Vets Can Support Your Pet
Your pet’s needs aren’t always simple, and having a hospital-level team helps you feel confident that nothing is overlooked. City Vets Heavitree provides routine check-ups, flea treatment, vaccinations, dental treatment, and support for long-term conditions and senior pets.
For pets who need complex diagnostics, the hospital can carry out CT scans, ultrasound, X-rays and lab tests on site. This gives your vet fast, accurate information and often avoids delays or referrals elsewhere. Surgery is also available here for everything from standard neutering to orthopaedic and soft tissue procedures.
If your pet ever needs to stay overnight, the wards are supervised at all times. The team will keep you updated and make sure your pet feels as calm and comfortable as possible while they recover.
