Registered Veterinary Nurse

I began my veterinary nursing career at the busy RSPCA Animal Hospital in Putney, London, where I developed strong clinical skills within a fast-paced hospital environment. During my 11 years there, I progressed into a management role, overseeing the care of strays, exotic species, and wildlife patients. It was in this setting that I discovered my passion for exotic and wildlife nursing.

After returning to Devon to be closer to family, I continued to expand my knowledge by completing my Certificate in Veterinary Nursing of Exotic Species. I have since also gained my Certificate in Nursing Zoo Species and regularly assist our exotics vet with zoo collection visits.

I enjoy working with all exotic patients, with a particular interest in reptiles, wildlife, and aquatics.

Outside of work, my love of animals and nature continues. I’m a keen gardener and have created a wildlife-friendly garden at home, especially welcoming to hedgehogs. I also care for a small collection of pets, including a hamster, tortoise, African dwarf frog, and several stick insects.

In my spare time, I enjoy spending time outdoors with my family, whether that’s countryside walks or trips to the beach - and I’m always happy to chat about animals
