Samantha Prestwood

Sam qualified from the Royal Veterinary College in 2009 and has worked in Cornwall and Devon since then. Initially she worked in mixed practice, but in 2012 moved to concentrate on small animal practice only. Sam loves being a general practitioner and the variety of cases this brings, but she is particularly interested in surgery, feline medicine and dentistry.She completed a postgraduate certificate in small animal surgery in 2018 and joined CityVets in 2019 to assist with the specialist surgery we are able to offer here including orthopaedic and complicated soft tissue surgery.Outside of work, Sam lives with her husband and rescue cat Derek (pictured). Her hobbies involve water-sports; swimming, surfing and sailing, and generally enjoying the outdoors.
