We are excited to announce that building work has started at our Heavitree Hospital. The extension work will provide a CT scanning facility, an improved dedicated exotics ward, an isolation unit, additional theatre, large prep room, additional kennel and cattery space and an imaging room. The current imaging room will be converted into 2 additional consult rooms. We are also adding additional onsite staff accommodation.
Currently the ground work is taking place which consists of drainage and foundation, the recent weather has made this stage extra challenging but despite appearances we’re not having an outside swimming pool installed!
We apologise for any noise and inconvenience during the building work, it should have minimal impact on the day to day workings at Heavitree. The work vehicles are taking up spaces in our car park but our, ever patient and understanding staff are walking, cycling and parking elsewhere to leave spaces for our clients.
The new improvements mean we will be able to offer superior facilities for quicker diagnosis and improved comfort for our patients; in addition our clients will receive the highest standard of care without the need to travel to a referral centre. We continue to invest in our facilities, equipment and staff in order to maintain our status as a leading Veterinary practice in the South West
